« Curling », installation vidéo performance, triptyque,  04’37, 16:9, 2012

«Curling» est un triptyque vidéo tiré d’une performance mettant en scène une pierre fixé à un manche à balai. Ces deux objets, assemblés, remaniés, amènent à une déviation du quotidien. Mis en scène par le geste et la contrainte physique imposée l’objet devient appuis pour le corps qui se retrouve presque à l’horizontale. On sent dans le corps une puissance, une énergie, une lutte face à l’objet qui reste quasiment vaine. La mise en place d’un tryptique et le déplacement du corps d’un écran à l’autre imposent une répétition du mouvement. «Curling» souligne une narration où l’on trouve son bonheur dans l’accomplissement de la tâche que l’on entreprend et non dans la signification de cette tâche.

“Curling” is a three-part work showing a performance in which a stone is fixed onto a broomstick. These two objects are assembled and rearranged to figure a shift of the everyday life. Dramatized by the gesture and the pre-established physical constraint, the object becomes the support for the body, the latter ending up nearly horizontal. Then we can even feel from this body a power, energy, through this pointless fight against the object. The triptych installation and the movement of the body, from a screen to another, give the sensation of a repetition. “Curling” underlines the narration according to which finding happiness results from labour more than the meaning of this task.
